Ima li neko u Republici Srpskoj ko nije čuo za Đurđevdanski festival?

To je najdugovječniji i već 25 godina najpoznatiji festival dječije pjesme u regionu, uz koji su odrastale generacije. Prvi festival održan je 5.maja, 1994. godine, pod nazivom “Djeca pjevaju Republici Srpskoj”.

Za ovaj dječiji festival u proteklom periodu u regionu napisano je više od četiri stotine kompozicija. Od početka su postavljeni visoki profesionalni standardi. Kompozicije i soliste biraju komisije u kojima su kompozitori, muzički pedagozi, muzički producenti i urednici. Kompozicije se, prema glasovnim mogućnostima i karakteru dodjeljuju malim solistima.

Učesnici prvih festivala već su odrasli ljudi i mnogi od njih su nastavili da se bave muzikom. I danas se rado sjećaju svojih nastupa i prate napredovanje festivala, koji je odrastao s njima. A festival je iz godine u godinu sve bolji, u svakom pogledu. Od 2005. godine postao je internacionalni festival, na kome učestvuju, ne samo djeca iz Evrope, nego i izvan starog kontinenta.

Za ovogodišnji festival odabrano je 16 kompozicija, koje će pjevati 23 djece iz RS, BiH, Srbije, Hrvatske, Crne Gore, Makedonije, Slovenije, Bugarske, Italije i Rusije.

Ovogodišnji Đurđevdanski festival biće održan 11. maja, u Sportskoj dvorani “Borik”.

For a quarter of a century, we are in charge of children’s smile.

Is there anyone in Republic of Srpska who haven’t heard of Djurdjevdan Festival?

It is the most prolific festival of children songs in the region which lasts for the past 25 years. Generations of children grew up with it. The first festival, called „Children sing to Republic of Srpska“, was held on May 5, 1994. More than four hundred compositions have been written for this children’s festival during the past period in the region. From the beginning, high professional standards have been set. Compositions and soloists are selected by commissions consisting of composers, music pedagogues, music producers and music editors. Compositions are assigned to little soloists according to their voice and character.

Participants of the first festivals are now grown-ups and many of them are still engaged in music. They gladly remember their performances and they follow the progress of the festival, which grew up with them. The festival is getting better every year, in every way. Since 2005, it has become an international festival and children, not only from Europe, but also beyond the old continent, take part in it.

This year’s Djurdjevdan Festival will be held on May 11 in the Sports Hall „Borik“.
